These drawings have developed from ongoing research into orientational metaphors within Hebraic language and Old Testament scriptures. The work meditates on how directional language attempts to articulate what kind of encounter humanity has with the divine. This is seen through the use of language such as up and down, ascent and descent, high and low, and rise and fall.
